In a freak hit-and-run accident, a man and his 5-year-old daughter were killed and the man's wife and son were critically injured after their motorbike was hit by an unknown vehicle on NH-24 near Ghazipur on Saturday evening.

Two of family killed in hit & run on NH-24 Times News NetworkNew Delhi: In a freak hit-and-run accident, a man and his 5-year-old daughter were killed and the man's wife and son were critically injured after their motorbike was hit by an unknown vehicle on NH-24 near Ghazipur on Saturday evening. Police said that though Kumar was wearing a helmet his wife and children were travelling without one and had sustained severe head injuries by the fall. The incident was reported around 5pm near the Ghazipur flyover. Locals notified police of a family found lying on the road. They were rushed to Lal Bahadur Shastri hospital where the man, Sunil Kumar (30) and his daughter were declared dead. The east Delhi police is on the look out for the errant vehicle and a case has been registered against it.
