Temperature in the Capital touched 45.1 degrees celsius on Sunday while it was 47.8 degree celsius in and around Palam airport making it the hottest day in 62 years giving no respite to people reeling under a blistering heatwave.

Lieutenant governor Najeeb Jung today directed the power companies to announce the schedule for power cuts in advance and stop electricity supply to malls after 10pm.
